The Word Alive’s EP “Empire” is out today. Its going pretty well, so lets skyrocket them to the top. Focus on the online portion of this, so we can get a really big online buzz focused around this EP. Email me if you would like to do this mission!!!

Post Release Mission:
start date: 7/21
due date: 8/7

ONLINE
(link myspace in every single post. Make sure you are stressing a song for viewers to listen to)
-Write a review for the band on iTunes
-Post 5 bulletins about the EP (this bulletin must include album cover graphic, myspace url, and all release information) throughout the course of promotion up until release.
-Comment 20 bands with +20,000 friends with album release information
- The Myspace MUST be added to your top friends
- A banner MUST be on your myspace profile.
-Add a TWA song to your profile for at least two weeks.

STREET
With the promotional materials that you receive:
-Turn in pictures of five posters you have put up. I will need a picture of each poster. The instructions on placement of these posters are detailed.
* Poster should be highly visible
* Placement should reach our target audience
* Poster should be visible for at least 4 or 5 days.
- You will receive 10 stickers. I will need a picture of what they did with 5 of those stickers.

Help out with smaller bands: They need you too!





In regards to The Maine’s release mission that was posted. We had an extremely overwhelming response to this mission. There were so many of you that signed up! This is AMAZING to see. As a street teamer for Fearless Records, you’re expected to promote all of the bands on the label. The Maine is obviously a pretty popular band, but we need to get this kind of response for the growing bands out there as well! I notice the show sign ups and such go up for smaller bands when they go on a popular tour. Maybe try participating in a mission for a band you’re not that familiar with, or signing up for a show you wouldn’t normally go to. This gets you familiar with the entire label, helps you grow, and most importantly helps the band grow a LOT. These bands need the help a little more help than The Maine, Mayday Parade, etc typically do. So everyone try and help get our smaller bands that really really need you to The Maine’s status, etc!

The Fearless team is typically a little more intense then our individual street teams. Most of you are looking to be in the music industry and using the team to make connections and get experience, etc. That is amazing and I am definitely here to help you with that. If you have any questions, anything at all ask away! Let’s try and promote everyone in new and crazy ways. Also, don’t be afraid to give me suggestions and ideas. It helps everyone!

DELUXE EDITION of Cant Stop Wont Stop out now!!!



The wait is over! The Maine’s deluxe edition of Cant Stop Won’t Stop is out TODAY. I need everyone to send me screenshots of posts from your myspace, twitter, tumblr, facebook, etc!
Information you need to know: The deluxe edition features a cover of Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me”, and acoustic song, and a 30 minute documentary on the band titled “In Person”. Include link to itunes/myspace

Info you should be aware of!



Just wanted to give you all some more updates on everything. Keep in mind the DELUXE VERSION of Cant Stop Wont Stop is coming out on 7/14! This includes a cover song, documentary, and an acoustic song, so be ready to post about that, and be prepared with all of the information. You guys should be aware of most of the general information regarding fearless. This includes tours, release dates, etc. You’re an extension of the staff remember, and you fully represent Fearless, so its important to be professional and prepared with that information if you are ever asked, etc. Also, keep posting about Eye Alaskas new album! Its looking pretty good. You guys are blowing it up! You can find upcoming releases and such on the myspace page. And remember if you ever need to look back on something, from now on, every email sent out will be posted on the tumblr. Links below.

Eye Alaska Release Mission ---- New Tour Dates!

Eye Alaska debut album is finally here!!! Make sure all of you pick it up on iTunes or instores!!! Below the release mission. Let me know if you want to participate. For completing everything, you will get the CD and a signed poster.

If you don’t want to do the entire mission, please just make sure you blast about it today and this week through twitter, facebook, myspace, etc. Also the iTunes review is super important. They’re up against some stiff competition today, so lets blow them out of the water!!! It’s an amazing album

If you’re new or just don’t know, here are some good things to know :)

HOW TO TAKE A SCREENSHOT
Taking Screenshots with a PC • Press the Print Screen button (may appear as “prnt scrn”) on the upper righthand corner of your keyboard. This takes a picture of your screen and saves it to your clipboard.
• Open your paint program
• Paste and save!

Taking Screenshots in Mac OS X
• Command-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it as a file on the desktop
• Command-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it as a file on the desktop
• Command-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it as a file on the desktop
• Command-Control-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it to the clipboard
• Command-Control-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it to the clipboard
• Command-Control-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it to the clipboard

SHOW REPORT
Please do your best to be able to answer the questions below. Be observant while working your respective competitive show.
-listen to what the audience is saying as you hand them materials
-note how often tools are discarded or how often they are saved, and what those tools are.
-be aware of Fearless Records artists t-shirts that people in the crowd are wearing
-Make sure to introduce yourselves to the staff at the venue you are covering and let them know that you are representing Fearless Records.

YOU CAN REQUEST LIFESTYLE PROMO
If you don’t get a lot of shows coming to your town, you can request lifestyle promo. This means you can hang posters etc around your city!

HOW TO PROMOTE A SHOW
For pre show promotion:
-One of those posters MUST be hung up at the venue prior to the show.
-The other 4 should be placed at places such as records stores, Hot Topic, YOUR SCHOOL, etc. (I will need a total of 5 pictures. One of each poster. Please make sure where the poster is posted is clearly visible in the picture.)

For promoting during the show:
-Five posters should be hung up in the venue. The band is most likely an opener so we want to make sure their name is everywhere, so they have an apparent presence at that show.
- The stickers should be PASSED OUT to fans at the show.
-If they venue allows stickers to be placed on the walls and such, no more than 3 of the stickers should be used for that.
- Gather at least TWENTY email signatures, and phone numbers for the fearless newsletter/mobile mob

(I will need pictures of each poster, and 4 pictures of you using the stickers.)
*Please make sure that I get pictures of your preshow promotion at least a week before the show. (Just a small FYI, you will no longer be prompted to turn in reports, it’s up to you to send them to me on your own). If you do not turn in preshow promo, you will not be put on the guestlist for the show. If it happens more than once, you will no longer be eligible to participate on the street team.

*No less than 3 days after the show, I will need your report, your email sign ups and your pictures. If you do not turn in your report, emails, and pictures from the show, you will no longer be eligible to participate on the street team.

With the right promotion (which is now left up to you) on a good tour, the band’s name can become pretty known. We don’t have piles and piles of our bands promo, and postage can get pretty expensive. So PLEASE use these materials to promote the band as best as you can. And don’t forget to turn in the report no less than 3 days after the show, or you won’t be eligible to receive promo in the future.

HOW TO REQUEST A SHOW
You can promote a show simply by letting me know what show you are attending. Missions go out with dates, but you can request any fearless show whether or not they have been sent out. Please make sure you request a show at least 3 weeks before the show. It takes one week to mail you promo, one week to put it up, and you need to turn it in at least a week beforehand.

GOOD PLACES TO PROMOTE
records stores, venues, schools, skateparks, coffeeshops, urban bulletin boards/telephone poles, popular hangouts, etc

BAD PLACES TO PROMOTE
Walmart/Target, grocery stores, library, outside walls of buildings (esp in the back) , electrical boxes random parking lots, etc

ONLINE PROMO IS IMPORTANT
All bulletins, twitters, facebook updates, etc are EXTREMELY HELPFUL. An online buzz is one of the best forms of promotion :)
