Go Radio Pre Order

Hey everyone!

Go Radio is getting ready to release Do Overs And Second Chances so the pre order is underway! I need your help to make sure that this new addition to the Fearless Records family is promoted absolutely everywhere and word about the pre order gets out!

As always, there is online and physical promotion for this order. In addition to those, I also added in a blast that needs to take place. If you blast about it and turn it in by tonight, you will get a special reward!

Remember that all proof for the mission must be turned into Katie@FearlessRecords.com on the due date in order to receive your reward.


Blast about the preorder on the web:
-Tweet 3 times about the pre order
-Post a Myspace bulletin with pre order info
-Update your Facebook status with pre order info
-Post info in 2 more places on the internet
-Twitpic the album art with info

If you turn the blast part of the pre order in by tonight, we will send you the song, “Goodnight Moon”. This is something that we haven’t done for the team in a while due to misuse of the privilege, but we are going to trust you with this. Remember, this song will not be released to other people for a while and it is absolutely essential that you keep this song safe. That means no sharing it with friends, no burning it for friends, sending it to friends, bragging about it etc. If we find out that it has been shared in any way, the team will lose this privilege once again. You work hard and we want to reward you with special treats like this, please don’t take our ability to do so away.

Street Promotion:
-Go to your local Hot Topic and display a pre order poster in their music section
-Put posters up in 5 lifestyle stores around your area
-Put a poster with pre order information up at a local venue
-Put a poster up around the local high school

Other Online Promotion:
-Email Alternative Press and ask them to review the album
-Tweet about the release for 5 days leading up to the release
-Join the official release group on Facebook and invite all of your friends to join

I’ve had this happen with a ton of people lately, so I just wanted to give you and update on the rules of the street team. Please do NOT use the street team for anything other than promoting the bands you love and/or gaining experience in the music industry. This means you should not be using the team to get free promotional material for your promotional company, guestlist spots for your radio show, etc. There are times and places to do such things, but using what your connection as a street teamer is NOT one of them. Also, please do not join the team in order to get photo passes, interviews, or VIP. Please do not send us your demo, your friends demo, or anything along those lines. All things of such nature should be sent to the address in my signature. Regarding sending in demos, etc, keep in mind the most important rule- do NOT give out our contact information you or your friends bands, or anyone else. Fearless Records would love to support you in everything you do, but please stick to the above rules. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks!

Artist Vs Poet Ragged Contest

Artist Vs Poet is in a really important contest! You can vote for them to be the next Ragged Artist in the Warped Tour edition of Ragged Magazine’s next artist.

This isn’t going to be mandatory or a mission, but this is SO important to the band. This could be what sets them off and really would be great for them to have for Warped Tour. With street teaming, sometimes it is hard to see the effect you have. We are a massive team at Fearless! You guys keep the names of the bands out there and are the driving force of our promoting. We have so many great street teamers!

Everyone on the team should go and vote for Artist Vs Poet in this contest. They are behind right now, but we can work together to change that. It would be SO amazing to see the true force of the team by pushing them to the top and I know that the guys in AVP would really appreciate it.

You can vote as many times as you want and you can see the percentage change as we all vote. It ends the 26th and is totally fan driven. Lets work together to get them to the top! This the the MOST important thing going on right now. I’m not asking for any proof, since the proof will be when AVP takes 1st place! There is nothing to sign up for, all you have to do is click and every vote counts!

Punk Goes Classic Rock Pre Order Mission

Punk Goes Classic Rock is being released on April 27th! That means it’s time for the pre order mission! Since this is such a huge release, with so many huge bands, I really want to give you all the opportunity to promote the heck out of it!

I want to give everyone a chance to score some merch out of this promotion, so here is the deal! There are three different levels of promotion that you can choose to complete. Each has its own requirements and all of them must be completed in full to get credit! No matter what level you choose, you’re going to have to complete level one (which is the easiest).

If you go way above and beyond with your promotion and complete the work from all three levels, you will be a superstar and get the best reward!

Read instructions carefully! When you sign up for this mission, tell Katie which level(s) you plan to complete! This is totally build-your-own mission!

LEVEL 1

-Tweet about release for 15 days prior to release (start: April 12th end: April 27th)

-Post banner in 15 different places on the web INCLUDING a blog and a note on Facebook.

-Join the official release group on Facebook.

Prize: Poster from any band on Fearless featured on PGCR or PGCR poster

In conjunction with any level that you choose to complete, you must complete level 1 to receive prizes.

LEVEL 2

-Complete Level 1

-Hang 15 PGCR posters up in lifestyles around your town. (5 each week prior to release for three weeks)

-Flyer 50 cars near music stores.

Prize: Shirt from Fearless band of your choice.

LEVEL 3

-Complete Level 1

-Promote the release at a concert of similar music to the bands on the album. You will be sent car letters and posters to hang up outside the venue as well as fliers to hand out. You will not be provided with a ticket for the show.

**In order to promote at a show, I need at least 2 weeks notice to send you the materials. Keep that in mind when picking the show!

For Always, Forever Video Premier

Every Avenue’s new music video for For Always, Forever premiered yesterday! It is now up on Youtube and on their Myspace! That means it’s time to start sharing the news with the world and getting the link out there!

What I need you to do is push this video through your Twitter accounts!

Here’s what to do:

-Recommend the video to 5 people you don’t follow
-Tweet the video link from Youtube 3 different times with different messages through the day
-Re tweet Fearless Records twitter announcement of it 2 times
-Post a cool screen capture from the video as a twitpic and include the video link

Inviting Facebook Friends

I wanted to share a little trick of Facebook with you! I know we have a lot of missions where we ask you to invite all of your friends to become fans or to view pages, and clicking for each friend can be kind of tedious. So here is the fast and easy solution! =)


1. Go to the artist page, event, etc and click “Invite People”

2. All your friends will appear in the pop-up box waiting to be selected

3. At this point, copy and paste this code into your web browser’s address bar:

4. Hit enter (or click the go arrow in your address bar) and all your friends will be selected. You will still need to click the “Invite button” for them to receive the invitation.

Competitive Shows March/April

Here is the list of competitive shows for March and April! Remember, we won’t get you on the guest list for these shows, but if you go and promote a Fearless artist, we will give you a free shirt from that Fearless artist!

Pre Show Promotion

There are two really important parts of show promotion that I think I should go over with everyone! Please read this email completely and ask questions if you have any!

Pre Show Promotion
In order to get on the guest list for the show, you need to email me and Katie your pre show promotion one week (7 days) before the show! You won’t be added to the guest list until you’ve sent it in!

For those who don’t know what pre show promo is….
-One of those posters MUST be hung up at the venue prior to the show.
-The other 4 should be placed at places such as records stores, Hot Topic, YOUR SCHOOL, etc.
-You need to twitter about the show twice. Include date, time, venue, and other bands
-You need to post two bulletins including the same information on myspace
(I will need a total of 10 pictures. One of each poster, and a screenshot for each post, and your group. Please make sure where the poster is posted is clearly visible in the picture.)

Easy enough, right? Anyone that doesn’t understand what pre show promo is, please email me so we can talk about it! Not knowing won’t be an acceptable excuse after this email! I’m making sure everyone’s got it down! =)

Posters/Snipes

There is most definitely a difference between posters and snipes! Posters are attractive and usually have artwork or the band on them. Snipes are basic and contain writing about the band’s latest album. Please don’t confuse the two!

Posters are to be distributed around the venue the night of the show in different places where people will see them!
Snipes are to be placed in blocks of FOUR (4) in different places around the venue!

Now, I know that sometimes bands ask for the posters and it’s really hard to say no to the band. If you give your posters to the band, how will you get your photos for proof of promotion? Please don’t put yourself in that position! Make sure to get your photos and don’t give the posters to the band. Just tell them that you have to hang them up!

As always, you need to turn in 10 photos from each show you go to. Competitive or otherwise. I will be sending out the list for March/April competitive shows later on this week! Keep your eyes open for it!

FAVORITE FIX 24 release mission

Artist vs Poet’s DEBUT album “Favorite Fix” is in stores today!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve been hearing from a ton of you how excited you are, which is awesome!
Below is the release day mission. I’ll need screenshots of everything, all at once, within 24 hours. You’ll receive a signed poster upon completion!

24 HOUR MISSION:
A) Online Promotion
Update your twitter status with appropriate trending topic tag (will be provided by @FearlessRecords day of release)
Update your facebook status
Post release banner in 5 different places on the web
Suggest the album to 5 friends on iTunes
Review the album on iTunes with a few sentences and 5 stars
Post a Myspace bulletin with release info and album artwork
Change your profile picture on Twitter, MySpace, Facebook to the album artwork

ALSO! Everyone head to your local Best Buy (even if you aren’t planning on buying the CD) and take a picture of it there. Please twitpic it with something along the lines of the following:
“I found @artistvspoetttx #favoritefix @bestbuy today! Its SO GOOD” –Make SURE you @reply @bestbuy”
If they DON’T have the album, REQUEST IT! This makes a huge difference, despite what you may have heard. Send me pictures!!!!!!!
